An Emmy-nominated film documentary Circling Around – The Violin Virtuosi, is being aired on over 220 public television stations around the United States. The film documents the journey taken by young violinists from the Indiana University String Academy (Mimi Zweig, Director) through the arduous details of lessons and rehearsals, the inspiration of master classes, and the joys and rewards of performing throughout the world. Through interviews with these young violinists insights into home life, sacrifices, friendships, and frustrations are revealed. Musical excerpts from Brahms, Copland, Sarasate and an original soundtrack by Director/Composer, Hideki Isoda (RIAX) bring this film to life.
